Rye Castle South East England
Gun Garden, Rye, East Sussex TN31 7HH Privately Owned
Rye Castle

The Ypres Tower is one of the oldest buildings in Rye, built as a fortification in 1249. It later became a private dwelling, then a prison, a mortuary, and finally a museum. The museum is split over two sites and a joint admission can be bought for both sites or each site may be visited individually.
